Pembroke Dock

Pembroke Dock (Welsh: Doc Penfro) is a town in South Pembrokeshire, Wales, lying north of Pembroke at the end of Milford Haven.

The town was founded in the 1814 when a naval dockyard was established. Moreover, five Royal yachts were built aong with 263 other Naval vessels. Today, the river Cleddau still plays a vital part in the livelihood of the town as it is now predominantly a ferry port, from which ferries sail to Rosslare in the Republic of Ireland. Its other major industry is oil refining.

Attractions in Pembroke Dock include the 1851 Gun Tower, now a local museum. The Cleddau Bridge leads north from the town, over the Daugleddau estuary.
