Pedro Feliz
Pedro Julio Feliz (born April 27, 1975 in Azua, Dominican Republic) is an infielder in Major League Baseball who has played for the San Francisco Giants since 2000.
Primarily a third baseman in his career so far, Feliz gained attention for his defensive skills in 2004, a breakout year for him. He rested Edgardo Alfonzo 51 games at third base, played 70 games for injured J.T. Snow at first base, appeared in 20 at shortstop and four in the outfield. Feliz responded, when he posted career highs in batting average (.276), home runs (22), RBI (84), at-bats (503) and games played (144).
Even though he has shown a great talent for the game, Feliz doesn't yet have a decided position for 2005. Meanwhile, with left fielder Barry Bonds out for possibly half the season, if not more, Feliz has enjoyed a big spring training. He and Michael Tucker are expected to platoon in left field until Bonds returns.
