Peñoles
Peñoles, based in Mexico City, Mexico, is a subsidiary company of Grupo Bal and is the second mexican largest mining company, and the first mexican producer of gold, zinc and lead and the world leader in silver production. Peñoles is a mexican company with active mines within Mexico and with some exploration projects in South America. Holdings includes the Fresnillo Silver Mine the Met-Mex Peñoles metallurgical complex and Química del Rey Chemical facility; three world class operations. Peñoles produces about 80.5 million ounces of silver and 756.1 thousand ounces of gold annually. Other metals that the company produces are copper, lead, bismuth, cadmium and zinc.
