Patay

Patay is a village and a commune of the Loiret département, in north central France, northwest of Orléans. Population: approx. 1,500.

History

French generals La Hire and Poton de Xaintrailles, under the leadership of Jean d'Arc, crushed the English at the Battle of Patay in June 18, 1429.
