Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10

According to a Press release, Panasonic announced the FZ10 as one of 3 models in the Lumix line for 2003.


The DMC-FZ10 digital camera possesses a Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT 12x Optical Zoom Lens. According to Panasonic, "The Elmarit lenses are manufactured using measurement instructions and quality assurance systems that have been certified by Leica Camera AG based the company's quality standards." The super 12x zoom was first released to Japanese consumers in the DMC-FZ1.


Discussions may found in the panasonic forum on Steve's Digicam site, on the DCRP site and the Panasonic Talk Forum. With a four megapixel ccd, stabilization technology and the ability to add filters, and converters, the FZ10 gained a following of enthusiastic prosumers.


In 2004, Panasonic produced more FZ models including: the FZ3, FZ15, and FZ20.
