Page (wedding attendant)
A page is a young male attendant at a wedding or cotillion.
In a formal wedding or a white wedding, a ringbearer is a special page, almost always a young boy, who carries the wedding rings for the bridal party. This is a modern term, and it is perfectly correct to refer to the ringbearer as a page.
Because of the unpredictability of very small children, it is almost always advised that child attendants be older than three years of age. An adult should always be designated to watch the children, keep them in order and give them their cues.
