Ozzie Newsome

Ozzie Newsome Jr. (Born March 16, 1956, in Muscle Shoals, Alabama) is a former American Football tight end who played for the Cleveland Browns. He was the Cleveland Browns first round draft pick in 1978. When he retired, he was the all-time leading tight end receiver, and was fourth among all receivers. He was All-Pro and was named to three Pro Bowls. He ultimately caught 662 passes and had a catch in every game for 150 consecutive games. He recorded career-best 89 catches in 1983, and recorded it again in 1984. He retired in 1990 as the NFL's all-time leading tight-end receiver, and as of he is currently second on that list to Shannon Sharpe. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

Newsome is currently the general manager of the Baltimore Ravens.
