Oscar Dunn

Oscar James Dunn (1820?-1871) was an American soldier and politician. He was born in Louisiana. He was probably a slave, who later escaped from his owners.

Later he became the first elected African American lieutenant governor of a U.S. State, becaming lieutenant governor of Louisiana.
