Orthomolecular psychiatry

Orthomolecular techniques include juice fasting, megadoses of vitamins, and identifying allergies. Orthomolecular psychiatry is obviously controversial, as most psychiatrists either don't understand it, or deny its future uses, even though it's been around since about 1968. Many orthomolecular physicians still prescribe neuroleptics, initially. However, the avoidance of neuroleptics is the main goal. Pfeiffer's Law states, "For every drug that benefits a patient, there is a natural substance that can achieve the same effect." Withdrawal from neuroleptic drugs should be done gradually.
