Orpheus (disambiguation)

Orpheus was a legendary ancient Greek musician. The name Orpheus later took on some other meanings:

  • Orpheus is a hypothesized Mars-sized planet that collided with the Earth 4.5 billion years ago, possibly creating the Moon. It is also called Theia.
  • Orpheus is a Carnival Krewe in Mandeville, Louisiana, which first paraded in 1988. The parade in Mandeville the Friday before Mardi Gras.
  • Orfeu is a 1999 Brazilian film by Brazilian director Carlos Diegues.
