Oro (video game character)
Oro is video game character created by Capcom. He appears in the Street Fighter III series of fighting games. His distinguishing features are his near-total baldness, extreme age, and glowing red eyes – he also appears to be clothed in something resembling a worn burlap sack. Strangely, he fights with only one arm – although he does possess both arms, he keeps one of them bound to his body to make it fair for the weaker opponents he faces. He is a mysterious hermit, so very little else is known about him. The most interesting piece of information concerning Oro is his aforementioned age – he is 140 years old.
Oro is referred to as a Sennin (a hermet/recluse who are said to gain mystical powers as a result from their meditation and seclusion) by Akuma during a bout between the two at the third World Warrior tournament. He also defeats Ryu in the same tournament, after which he declares that Ryu will be ready to fight him in another fifteen years. Oro possesses tremendous physical and spritual prowess for a man of his (or any) age, and is capable of the execution of many strange – though vastly effective – fighting techniques. Oro sees Ryu as a potential successor to his form of martial arts, after he has mastered his current style. Oro's bizzare and violent form of martial art is called Senjitsu (as indicated in Oro's win quotes.)
