Orlov brothers
Alexios and Theodoros Orlov were officers in the Russian Army of Greek origin that played a role in the Russo-Turkish War of 1768-1774. They were leaders of the Russian fleet which sailed from the Baltic Sea and through the English Channel and Mediterranean. They reached the coasts of Peloponnesos in February 1770 and provoked a rebellion to distract the attention of the Turks, but after some minor victories the effort wasn't successful.
After these incidents, Alexios Orlov seeked the Turkish fleet in the Aegean Sea and destoyed him in the naval battle of Cesme on July 6, 1770.
