The Orb of Light (Ball of Light in American versions of Dragon Warrior I) was given to Erdrick/Loto in Dragon Quest/Warrior III. He used it to weaken the Demonking Zoma. Afterwards the Orb of Light rested in Tantegel Castle where it kept monsters at bay. Eventually the Orb was stolen by the Dragonlord.
