Ombrone
Ombrone is a 161 km long river in Italy, region Tuscany. It flows through the city Grosseto and flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Ombrone is also the name of a département of the First French Empire in present Italy. It was named after the river Ombrone. It was formed in 1808, when Tuscany was annexed by France. Its capital was Siena. It was divided into the following arrondissements (situation 1812):
It was disbanded after the defeat of Napoleon in 1814. Its territory is presently divided over the Italian provinces Siena and Grosseto.
