Ofeq
Ofeq is the designation of the Israeli Shavit rocket of Palmachim from started test satellites.
Ofeq 1, which was started on 19 September 1988, possessed a weight of 155 kilograms and circled the earth on an orbit with a perigee of 249 kilometers and an apogee of 1149 kilometers on a course bent around 142,9 degrees. It accomplished mainly solar cell and radio transmission tests. On 3 April 1990 the started Ofeq the earth on a course with a perigee of 149 kilometers and an apogee of 251 kilometers, bent around 143,2 degrees, circled 2.
Ofeq 2 accomplished communication tests. A further satellite of the Ofeq series, which on 15 September 1994 one started, might have been a miss.
The satellites starting from Ofeq 3 (start: 5. April 1995) were all reconnaissance satellites.
Ofeq 4 was launched on 22 January 1998, it did not achieve earth orbit.
On 28 May 2002 Ofeq 5, a reconnaissance satellite with a Shavit rocket of Palmachim started. The 300 kilogram Ofeq 5 orbited the earth on a course with a perigee of 262 kilometers and an apogee of 774 kilometers, bent around 143.5 degrees, whose perigee in the process of the mission was raised to 369 kilometers and its apogee was lowered on 771 kilometers.
On 6 September 2004 the start reconnaissance satellites of the Ofeq 6 failed.
