A Nya is a fictional creature from the Monster Rancher anime and video game franchise. The species is also known as Mew.

They were first introduced in Monster Rancher, and were obtainable only after buying a special cat doll that appeared in the shop and using it in a combination. They have appeared in every Monster Rancher game to date.

They are small yellow stuffed toy cats.

They are known for using tricky attacks to sap their opponent's willpower.

• Nya (Nya/Nya) or (Nya/Kalaragi) Bears a strong resemblance to a cat-like doll figure. This cat doll monster loves to sing very much. This monster likes to sing so much that at some point, it started carrying a microphone around. Lately it's been wanting to try acting, too. A much-loved stuffed cat wanted to show its gratitude so much that it just came alive one day. Once it started singing, it forgot what it was going to do.

• AntMew (Nya/Antlan) Its blue face is actually just a mask. (A hero of justice never shows its true face!) Its fervor engrosses all it meeets, but it never can quite pull off the look. Also Called: Mewnos

• Bambiimew (Nya/Takrama) This Nya has adapted to a forest setting. The pattern on its back resembles light streaming through the leaves of a tree, making for great camouflage.

• Mewkiri (Nya/Takrama) Mewkiri thinks it is a giraffe, so it doesn't like being called a monster. Nonetheless, it continues to eat fish rather than grass.
