The Now Show

(Redirected from Now Show)

The Now Show is a radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4, which satirises the week's news. The show is a mixture of stand-up and pre-recorded sketches presented by Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis and regularly features Jon Holmes, Marcus Brigstocke, Laura Shavin and Mitch Benn. Emma Kennedy was a member of the cast and guests have stood in for absent cast members. Though Brigstocke for one is overtly left-wing, the programme satirises both left and right-wing politics and non-political events.

The programme usually forms six part series, occupying Radio 4's Friday evening slot on a rotation with The News Quiz and Dead Ringers.

Repeats of The Now Show can be heard on BBC7.
