Joseph-Noël Ritchot (25 December, 182516 March, 1905) commonly known as Noël-Joseph Ritchot was a Roman Catholic priest noted for his role in negotiating with the Government of Canada on behalf of the Métis during the Red River Rebellion of 18691870.

La Chapelle de Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours

Ritchot credited the Blessed Virgin Mary with allowing the Red River Rebellion to end successfuly with the creation of Manitoba without bloodshed. Ritchot built La Chapelle de Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours in 1875 in her honour in St. Norbert, Manitoba.
