Navaratnas

Navaratnas or Nine Gems (nine (nav), jewels (ratnas)) was the collective title of the nine most valuable members in the court of Mughul Emperor Akbar. Tansen was the leader of the Navaratna. A number of institutions in modern India are named after this historic group. One of them is the Public-sector units that perform well.
The Nine Gems of Akbar's court were:
- Abul Fazl
- Faizi
- Mian Tansen
- Birbal
- Raja Todar Mal
- Raja Man Singh
- Abdul Rahim Khan-I-Khan
- Fakir Aziao-Din
- Mullah Do Piaza.
