Nikolai Vasilyevich Fyodorov
Nikolai Vasilyevich Fyodorov (born May 9 1958 in Chedino, Chuvashia) is the President of the Chuvashia republic in Russia. He was the justice minister of Russia from 1991 to 1993 and has been President of Chuvashia since 1994. He was a supporter of market reforms and was reelected in 1998 and 2001. He clashed with President Boris Yeltsin of Russia in 1995 by permitting Chuvash servicemen to serve separately from Russian troops in Chechnya.
