Nikko Smith

Nikko Smith (born Osbourne Earl Smith II) was a finalist on season 4 of American Idol. (The "Nikko" stage name was adopted after the initial Idol auditions.)

He was first eliminated from the competition during the semi-finals along with Travis Tucker when Scott Savol became part of the Top 12.

Days later, Smith got a call back from the show when the series asked him to come back because Mario Vazquez left the show due to "personal reasons," so he did, doing very well after coming back. He was dubbed "The Comeback Kid" by judge Paula Abdul because of this.

Smith was voted off on April 6 during his performance of "One Hand, One Heart" from West Side Story during musical theater week.

He is the son of baseball legend Ozzie Smith, and also has performed at jazz and blues clubs. He is from Town & Country, Missouri.
