Nigger rich
Nigger rich is a derogatory term which describes a person who spends excessively on luxuries, especially on jewelry and other lavish items, but does not spend equally on basic necessities.
Originally, ascribed to African Americans who first experienced wealth after the Civil War. Unfamiliar with money, they purchased luxuries instead of assets. Currently, those considered nigger rich could be said to be nouveau riche or parvenus. It is considered by most an offensive and derogatory term.
