Nigel Ashford

Professor Nigel Ashford is a British academic and author, primarily in the area of politics.

Having directed the Principles of a Free Society Project at the Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation in Sweden he was appointed professor of politics and Jean Monnet Scholar in European Integration at Staffordshire University, England. As of 2005 he works for the Institute for Humane Studies.

He has been awarded the International Anthony Fisher Trust Prize.

His published (as primary or co-author) works include:

  • US Politics Today (1999)
  • Public Policy and the Impact of the New Right (1994)
  • A Dictionary of Conservative and Libertarian Thought (1991)
