Network access server

(Redirected from Network Access Server)

Network Access Servers can attach a "modem" to a telephone circuit and provide data access to the Internet. In the future, the same gateways will combine VoIP services and Network Access Services.

In a RADIUS environment, Network Access Servers are any devices that use the RADIUS server for user authentication. These NAS devices can include dial-in servers, VPN servers, wireless access points, etc.
