Nerima, Tokyo
Nerima (練馬区; -ku) is the northwestern-most of the 23 special wards comprising the urban center of Tokyo, Japan.
As of 2003, the ward has an estimated population of 674,826 and a density of 14,012.17 persons per km². The total area is 48.16 km².
The ward was founded on August 1, 1947.
One of the famous products of Nerima is the Nerima daikon radish.
The popular 1990s anime/manga series Ranma ½ took place in Nerima.
