Nawabshah

Nawabshah city (established in 1912) is located in center of Sindh, Pakistan, and is therefore often known as the "Heart of Sindh". Nawabshah is famous for sugarcane and banana production. Its environment is hot and dry. Nawabshah has an airport near the city, where General Pervez Musharraf, President of Pakistan, was once asked to be arrested on a flight from Colombo (Sri Lanka) the day former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was ousted. Nawabshah possesses various institutes for training in engineering or medical fields. One of the larger institutes, Quaid e Awam University of Engineering Science & Technology in Nawabshah offers degrees in:

In the health field, Peoples Medical College, Nawabshah, for women only, offers degrees of M.B.B.S and B.D.S.
