Navy Chaplain Corps
The Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy consists of ordained clergy who are commissioned as officers in the Navy. As well as minstering to the Navy, members serve the United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard, United States Public Health Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Officer Corps.
There are Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, and Buddhist chaplains currently in the service; they are assisted by sailors in the Religious Program Specialist Rating.
