Nalo Hopkinson
Nalo Hopkinson (born December 20, 1960) is a Canadian author whose novels (Skin Folk, Brown Girl in the Ring, The Salt Roads) combine science fiction with the traditions of Caribbean oral and written storytelling. Brown Girl in the Ring was nominated for the Philip K. Dick Award in 1998, and Midnight Robber in 2000.
Hopkinson defended George Elliott Clarke's novel Whylah Falls in Canada Reads 2002.
