Najeh Davenport
Najeh Davenport (born February 8, 1979) is currently the second running back on the Green Bay Packers' depth chart behind all-pro Ahman Green. Davenport was mentioned preceding the 2004 NFL season in rumors surrounding the open spot for a starter on the Miami Dolphins roster following the sudden departure of the enigmatic Ricky Williams. Instead of trading for Davenport, the Dolphins decided to go with Ram's backup Lamar Gordon. Many NFL scouts consider Davenport to be a good pure runner (some even commented on him possibly leading the league in rushing someday). Unfortunately, like the man infront of him, Davenport has a problem with fumbles. In addition to that many do not believe Davenport gives much on passing downs, in terms of pass blocking and catching the ball. While Davenport opened some eyes in the 2003 season when filling in for an injured Green, he is most well known as the man who defecated in some previously unknown girl's closet due to his bouts of clinical depression. He attended the University of Miami.
Davenport's nicknames include Big Boy and Davenpoop.
