Nagewadi

Nagewadi is a small village near Satara city in Maharashtra state of India. This village is based near Pune – Bangalore national highway and is 11 Km away from Satara city. Nagewadi is famous for Goddess Shakambari Temple and also for Goddess MariMata, Kalikadevi. Famous Dhom Irrigation Right Canal passes by this village. This village is mostly dependent on Farm products and money coming from Mumbaikar. This village was established by a person named Veer Sawant some 200 years ago, so entire village is of Sawant family, except some guests families. Vitthal Eknath Sawant, a Computer Expert had spent few years in this village.
