Naftali Herz Imber

Naftali Herz Imber (1856 – October 8, 1909) was a Galician Jewish poet and zionist. He wrote and composed the Israeli national anthem Hatikva ("Hope"). He was born in Zloczow, then part of the Austrian Empire.
