Club Nacional de Fútbol
Club Nacional de Fútbol, also known as "El Decano", is a Uruguayan football club that plays in Montevideo. It is the oldest existing club in Uruguay, having been founded on May 14, 1899 (although this is sometimes disputed, see Peñarol).
The club is one of the most successful Uruguayan clubs, having won 3 Copa Libertadores, 3 Intercontinental Cups, and many other titles.
The club won the Uruguayan league in 1902, 1903, 1912, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1933, 1934, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1963, 1966, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1992, 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2002.
Its archrival is Peñarol.
