Nacatamal

A famous Nicaraguan dish which is mashed corn meal with potatoes and lard mixed with green peppers, onions, raisins and likely garlic. It is served pressure cooked in banana leaves to give it a unique flavor, and it is often topped with pork pieces, tomatoes and rice. It is also a famous dish now in Costa Rica.
