Morristown-Beard School
Morristown-Beard Prep School in Morristown, New Jersey is located in affluent Morris County, New Jersey. Morristown-Beard is a independent day school, serving grades 6 through 12. Morristown-Beard has a rich and diverse history, beginning with its establishment by Henry Lee Higginson in 1891 as Morristown Prep School for Boys, which in 1971 merged with Miss Beard's School for Girls become the Morristown-Beard School.
Between 1997 and 2004, a majority of the campus was rebuilt under the massive $15 million capital campaign. Beard Hall was also newly refurbished.
Many MBS students graduate to colleges such as Bates, Union, Dickinson, Villanova, Hamilton and some go on to attend Ivy League colleges.
