Mombojó

Created in 2001, Mombojó is a Brazilian rock/pop band from Recife, State of Pernambuco. The band has a new understanding to the drums-guitar-bass formula, adding samplers, loops and lots of psychodelia, and focuses on the experimental side of music.

The band participated in the 10th Abril Pro Rock, an important rock festival of Brazil, in 2002, and was considered the breakthrough artist from the Recife scene.

Its first and only record so far, "Nadadenovo" (which roughly translates to "Nothingnew", was recorded and mixed in Recife. The record contains fifteen songs and was acclaimed by the Brazilian media.
