Moldavian Democratic Republic
Moldavian Democratic Republic was declared on January 24, 1918 by the National Council (Sfatul Ţării) of Bessarabia created after the Russian Revolution.
On April 9, 1918 the Sfatul Tarii voted in favor of unification with Romania with 86 votes in favor, 3 against and 36 abstained. The union was confirmed in the Treaty of Paris (1920).
