Miyuki-chan in Wonderland

Miyuki-chan in Wonderland (aka in Japan as 不思議の国の美幸ちゃん or ''Fushigi no Kuni no Miyuki-chan'') was created by mangakas CLAMP. It was first serialised in Newtype Magazine and later published in Japan by Kadokawa Shoten in 1995. Its English publication came out in 2003, licensed by Tokyopop. It is a manga version of the children's novel by Lewis Caroll, Alice in Wonderland, with an ecchi twist.

The series actually involves the main recurring character Miyuki who enters several different worlds. She encounters a bewildering number of scantily-dressed females who find Miyuki extremely attractive and all wishing to 'get to know her better', much to her dismay. Whenever she manages to escape from her pursuers, Miyuki would awake and find the entire situation repeating again, the words 'Never End' displayed instead of the usual 'The End'. Originally, it was intended to be just the first chapter, but the CLAMP team found it so enjoyable they decided to carry it further.

There is a stark lack of male characters in the series, which is highly yuri in nature.

Needless to say, Miyuki-chan in Wonderland is not for those seeking an accurate, alternative protrayal to the original Alice in Wonderland.

Aside from the manga, an audio CD and anime also exist. In these, the voice of Miyuki is provided by Mariko Kouda. These other versions do not include all seven stories, however.
