Military campaign

A military campaign is defined as:

  • A series of related military operations aimed at accomplishing a strategic or operational objective within a given time and space.
  • A connected series of military operations forming a distinct phase of war

It is a series of battles linked by time and geography, ie the North Africa Campaign of World War 2.
