Middle Easterner

A Middle Easterner is a person who originates from the highly volatile geographical region commonly referred to as the Middle East.

Strictly speaking, A Middle Easterner is someone who lives in, or is from "the area around the eastern Mediterranean; from Turkey to northern Africa and eastward to Iran; the site of such ancient civilizations as Phoenicia and Babylon and Egypt and the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity and Islam; The Middle East had continuous economic and political turmoil in the 20th century". Individuals residing in this area have faced much consternation in the West due to several high profile terrorist attacks on US landmarks that have been attributed to Middle Easterners.
