Melanie Thornton
Melanie Thornton (May 13, 1967 – November 24, 2001) was an American-German singer who fronted the Eurodance act La Bouche who had hits with Be My Lover and Sweet Dreams in the mid-1990s. She forged a moderately successful solo career in Germany before her tragic death in November 2001. Her hits include "Sweet Dreams", "Wonderful Dream" and "Be My Lover."
She died in a plane crash near Zurich, Switzerland at age 34.
