Max Foran
Maxwell Laurence Foran is an Australian-born Canadian professor at the University of Calgary. He came to Canada in 1963 and married the daughter of Grant MacEwan, the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.
Before coming to Canada he taught at public schools. After coming to Canada he joined the Calgary Board of Education and became a principal. As of 2005, Foran teaches Canadian Studies and has often been nominated for distinguished professor awards and was awarded as one of the best professors at the University in the 2002–2003 school term. He is also an avid scholar on Canadian topics.
