Mawtini (My Homeland): Composed by the Lebanese composer Mohammad Flayfel and the lyrics of the Palestinian poet Ibrahim Toqan. After the ousting of the Saddam Hussein government, Iraq selected this song as a new national anthem. "Mawtini" is also a popular folk tune throughout the Arab world (and an unofficial anthem of Palestine).
