Mav Radio

Mav Radio is an open format, volunteer, radio station which runs from the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. The station is a non-profit organization that runs on public funding and donations, because of which, they have had to do a lot with very little. But progress has been made over the 2004 – 2005 school semester to jump start the student organization that began in 1997.

The station's airplay comes from the streaming media feed on their website as well as playing over the intercom system of the university's student center. However, the station has been raising money to broadcast campus-wide and can currently be heard on the western side of the university's north campus on 93.7 FM.

The station currenly uses Rivendell, a Salem Radio Labs product as their playlist organizer. The station is also organizing a concert of local music called MAVSTOCK which will be taking place on Saturday, September 17th 2005, on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus. Bands for the event have not been confirmed as of this posting, but the line up should be solidified by July 2005.
