Maria had been a multiple-time beauty pageant winner before competing in the $250,000 RAW Diva Search.
After 2004's Raw Diva Search Maria came to WWE RAW to work as a backstage interviewer. Many fans believed her to be horrible on the microphone at first, but Maria got better every time she talked.
