Glove compartment

(Redirected from Map case)

A glove compartment is a compartment built into the dashboard on the passenger's side of an automobile, often used for miscellaneous storage. The original use of this compartment was to store gloves; hence the name.

In the United Kingdom it is frequently called a glovebox (never a map case).
