Maltesers

Maltesers are a confectionary manufactured by Mars, Inc. They consist of a spherical malt honeycomb centre, surrounded by chocolate. They are most popular in the United Kingdom. Maltesers can come in plastic bags, or in larger cardboard containers.

Ice cream and white chocolate versions are also available, as is a chocolate-flavoured malt drink, similar to Horlicks and Ovaltine.

Television adverts describe Maltesers as 'the lighter way to enjoy chocolate'.

Islam and Maltesers

Almighty Allah says, "O people of Imaan! Eat of the pure things that We have provided for you, and be grateful to Allah" (Surah Baqarah 2:172).

Maltesers are halaal, and so can be enjoyed by Muslims.
