Magnus V of Norway

(Redirected from Magnus Erlingsson)

Magnus Erlingsson (1156–1184) was a king of Norway, from Etne in Hordaland. He was son of Erling Skakke and Kristin Jorsaldatter, daughter of Sigurd I Magnusson. He was named king in 1161, but his father reigned on his behalf until 1177. He died in the battle against Sverre Sigurdsson at Fimreite in 1184.
