Ma On Shan
Ma On Shan (Chinese: 馬鞍山, pinyin Mǎ'ānshān, lit. 'saddle ridge mountain') is in New Territories, Hong Kong. It is used to refer to
- Ma On Shan (702m) is a peak in New Territories, Hong Kong.
- Ma On Shan is an area in Sha Tin District beneath the peak of Ma On Shan, and an extension of the Sha Tin New Town.
- Ma On Shan Country Park is one of the country parks in Hong Kong.

History
The slope of Ma On Shan was a quarry site before urban development. The quarrying workers speak a language which is a combination of various languages in southern China.The current new town was built on the foot of the peak of Ma On Shan, and on reclaimed land along the Tolo Harbour. It is an extension of the Sha Tin new town.
Transportation
Ma On Shan is served by green taxis (New Territories taxis), minibuses, KMB, and NWFB (on cross-harbour routes). The Ma On Shan Rail has begun service since 21st December, 2004.
