Lucie Manette

Lucie Manette is a fictional female character in Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. She is the daughter of Doctor Alexander Manette and is the love interest of both Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. In the end of the novel, Carton takes the place of Darnay so that Manette will have him to love. The character is often criticized for an unusual tendency to faint frequently.
