Lnx4Win
Lnx4Win stands for Linux for Windows and was created by authors Alexandre Dussart and Warren Downs. The particular type of Linux is Mandrakelinux. No separate partitions are required. A linux boot is simulated on the running Windows operating system. A desktop shortcut is installed that activates the boot up. A Linux Mandrake image file is stored on the hard drive. A real ext2 file system inside the image is activated by a loopback device. A swap file rather than a partition is used. This is great for those who want to safely learn Linux or run Linux apps without having to create a separate partition, as Linux is not affected by Windows viruses.
